Remove the spacer and feel the movement of bearing rollers with
your fingers. The rollers should move without any stiction. Replace
bearing if you feel any stiction or hesitation. Clean the dust cover,
spacer and bearing surface with a rag to remove old grease. Inspect
the spacer for damage; replace if necessary. Apply a high-quality
bearing grease liberally to the bearing and spacer. Reinstall the
spacer and dust cover.
